Утворення та нагороди

Джінджеріч отримав ступінь бакалавра мистецтв у Прінстонському університеті в 1968 році, магістра філософії (англ.) укр. в Єльському університеті в 1972 році, доктора філософії в Єльському університеті в 1974 році (всі ступені за фахом «геологія »).

Отримав премію Генрі Рассела (англ.) рос. Університету штату Мічіган в 1980 році, стипендію імені Альберта (англ.) рос. і Альми Шедл (Shadle Fellowship Award (англ.) рос.) в Американському суспільстві мамологів (англ.) рос. в 1973 році, і премію Чарлза Шухерт Палеонтологічного товариства (англ.) рос. в 1981 році.
