Народилася в Гілфорді, графство Суррей (Surrey) в сім'ї радіолога з Глазго. У сім'ї Імрі стала четвертою дитиною (всього п'ять дітей).

Приватне життя

Від актора Веніаміна Уітроу у неї є син Ангус, який зіграв разом з нею у фільмі Кінгдом. Вона живе в Лондоні.
