Лі Перрі: біографія

Біографія

Народився у бідній селянській родині. Рано почав захоплюватися музикою, працював в Кінгстоні в студіях Клемента Додда і Джо Гіббса. У 1968 році створив студійну групу The Upsetters і однойменний лейбл, де згодом були записані багато пісень Боба Марлі.

У 1974 році заснував студію Black Ark, де працював з Максом Ромео, Джуніором Мервіном, The Heptones, The Congos . У 1977 році співпрацював з The Clash. З 1988 року проживає у Швейцарії.
